Apple Officially Announces September 9th Media Event: 'Hey Siri, Give Us a Hint'

Posted August 27, 2015 at 4:24pm by iClarified
Apple has officially announced a September 9th media event. The invitation for the event reads, "Hey Siri, give us a hint."

The company is widely expected to unveil the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, a new Apple TV, and perhaps some iPad updates.

The iPhone 6s is expected to feature Force Touch, a faster LTE chip, a Rose Gold color option, 7000 series aluminum, a 12MP camera, 4K video recording, and more.

The new Apple TV is expected to bring Apple's A8 system on chip; a new drastically improved remote that offers touch-pad input, an increase in on-board storage, an improved operating system that will support Siri voice control, and apps! It's not expected to offer web TV service as of yet.

While it's possible that we could see an iPad mini update at the event, it's unclear if Apple has plans to update the iPad Air 2 or unveil a larger iPad Pro.

Apple's announcements will take place at 10:00am PST / 1:00pm EST on September 9th at the Bill Graham Civic Center. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates ahead of the event.

I feel like this shows the new "force touch" technology as well (the leaf being a finger and the apple, the screen)

I asked Siri what's happening at Apple on September 9th, she said I was one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early and told me I had to wait.

I totally agree with you, let's break it down. Has Apple released a new iPhone without a new OS to go with it in the past few years? No, and also what do you think all the iOS 9 betas have been leading up to? It's because iOS 9 will ship with the new iPhones as they have been for a very long time.

Wouldn't have been easier and nicer to just answer "yes"?
