Apple Officially Confirms That Many Apple Watch Orders Will Arrive Earlier Than Expected

Apple has officially confirmed that many Apple Watch orders will arrive earlier than expected. The news follows reports that some users have seen their order status move to 'Preparing for Shipment' despite an estimated ship date of June.

Here's the official statement provided to BuzzFeed:

“We’re happy to be updating many customers today with the news that their Apple Watch will arrive sooner than expected,” an Apple spokeswoman told BuzzFeed News. “Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received. We know many customers are still facing long lead times and we appreciate their patience.”

The company hasn't provided any more details as to why some orders are shipping earlier than expected. Perhaps supply isn't quite as limited as it was on the first day of pre-orders.

Hmmm it seems that most people got the space grey one. So that's why it's probably taking forever because everyone ordered the same one probably.

No shipping notice. Still processing as status. Why are some getting bumped in line Apple! I have a delivers 24 April - 8 May and it looks more and more like I'm not one of the Many that will get my watch early.

Im glad to say my apple watch 42mm has shipped and is delivering tomorrow. I just recieved a text notification from apple regarding this. My original delivery date was May 13th to May 27th not even April 24th to May 8th. This is post is to show people that if you have a May 13th to May 27th delivery date don't lose hope of recieving it tomorrow.

Order placed for 42mm space grey aluminum with black sport band at 12:03 of pre-order launch. Received the "You order is being processed" email at 12:06. Currently the watch is still being processed according to the apple site despite others already receiving updates. -__- *table flip*

Two sport watches (silver aluminum w/ white band - 38mm and 42mm) on their way to Washington, DC for delivery tomorrow. Apple bumped the 42mm from 2-4 weeks to tomorrow. Super excited!

Got a shipped confirmation email this morning! Will arrive tomorrow. Ordered the Stainless Steel Milanese Loop. I Live in Texas. Initial order confirmation email came in 4/10 @ 2:05 am CT. Also ordered black sports band 2 minutes later, still processing. Ship time is 2-4 weeks.

Ordered mine April 10@3:05am,it gave me May 13-27,now I'm seeing those that had a June shipment date,is now receiving theirs tomorrow. Don't get me wrong I'm happy for them,but WTF is apple doing,how are they selecting who gets theirs early from who doesn't!

Received an email from the Apple Store that confirmed they are "processing" my order and that I would get an email confirming shipment and arrival date. Status at the Store is still "Procsssing." Losing hope I will see tomorrow unless they've prepositioned an East Coast supply.

I live in the UK. I ordered a 38mm stainless steel with milanese strap. It was confirmed delivery between 15th and 28th may. Have just received email that it has been shipped and will be delivered tomorrow on the 24th. I also ordered a sport version 38mm on the 10th April with confirmation delivery of between 24th April and 8th may. That is in the preparing for dispatch stage

To be honest, at this point based on what apple has said, it could vary. My delivery date was completely off. My delivery date said "May 13th to May 27th" but i checked my UPS tracking number and the scheduled delivery date for it is actually this Friday 4/24/15. So i'm thinking either near end of April or beginning to mid-may.

mine says preparing for shipment but I did the tracking trick and it shows del may 8 . 42 space grey sport order time confirmation email shows April 10 3:02 am . this is by far the worst way apple has ever handled a launch . I'm over it , may not even keep the watch at this point .

What is this "tracking trick"? I ordered my Stainless Steel with Black Classic Buckle at 3:01 EST when it opened here in Chattanooga, TN. It changed my status to Preparing for Shipping Sunday midday and it's been like that since then. I guess I won't be getting mine on Friday unless they expedite the shipping.

Never mind, figured it out myself. Here's instructions for others since someone didn't bother sharing the knowledge. Go to UPS.com's or FedEx.com's tracking page. Select Track by Reference and enter your 10 digit phone number associated to your Apple.com account in the Shipment Reference field. Manually change the dates from between 4/19/2015 to 4/23/2015 and hit track. If that doesn't show anything make sure you typed in you phone number right and change the date range to end in 4/24 or 4/25. I did this and it revealed UPS has received a tracking slip and shipping sticker but they aren't shipping mine out till tomorrow, 4/23. Kind of angers me to just find this out now and has had me set up all week. :/ if they received the information back on 4/19, why didn't they update it to show my tracking number? Oh well, I guess I'll be getting mine Saturday or sometime next week.

Yeah me too :/ I just found my UPS tracking page. But trust me you will almost 99% get your apple watch by friday. My scheduled delivery date is this friday or April 24th, 2015.

Mine just shipped out and is expected tomorrow before noon. They shipped it out using UPS Next Day Air Service. All I can say is wow, Apple. Good show! Makes me want to order new bands and see when they get here. Does anyone happen to know if I ordered the Milanese Loop and Sport band if they'd be delivered in the next week or not? I was stupid enough not to buy them all at once.

This is complete bull. Ordered 42SS BSB at 12:01 And my order is still processing. Yet people with June delivery dates are getting early shipments??????

Ordered a Stainless Steel with classic band. Confirmed purchase email says 03:13 am on 10 April with estimated delivery 24 April - 8 May, as of 9 PM on 22 April still processing order. I live on NE Coast (NJ).
