The upcoming iPhone 6s will reportedly feature a dual lens camera capable of optical zoom and a 3D pressure sensor, according to UDN via GforGames.
Aside from the dual-lens, optical zoom capable camera, the publication also says that more light will be able to reach the sensor, which will enhance the image quality. In translation, this probably means that Apple will probably tinker with the iSight camera’s aperture (iPhone 6 has an f/2.2 aperture).
Interesting, the 3D pressure sensor might indicate that Apple has plans to brings its Force Touch technology found in the Apple Watch to the iPhone. Force Touch uses tiny electrodes around the display to distinguish between a light tap and a deep press, and trigger instant access to a range of contextually specific controls
Supply chain sources also said that Apple's 2015 iPhone lineup will be very similar to this year's lineup, suggesting that Apple won't release a 4-inch iPhone this fall.
Another prediction is that Apple will increase storage for the base model to 32GB. This and the majority of new added components are said to improve interaction with the Apple Watch.
Notably, this is not the first report that the iPhone 6s will feature a dual lens camera. Daring Fireball's John Gruber said that he's heard the device will feature "some sort of weird two-lens system where the back uses two lenses and somehow that takes it up into SLR quality imagery."
66mm stereoscopic base is natural for human vision. the size of the iphone makes possible to provide that. instead, they follow Nokia bad example
. Made me angry. Huge company, but decisions are stupid, as usual
they should ffff**** start using OLED !!!! cuz the phone is so cool but since oled is missing, this makes it 10000 times less pleasant then samsung's products. black is black, white is white, the other colors are so vivid on samsung and i would soon much change to samsung but i love apple products
Why does oled matter? Soon, the display is going to be sapphire which it was supposed to be in the first place, but it's enough that there is retina hd display. Who cares how vivid colors need to be than retina displays?
Since they're talking about optical zoom, a two lens system DOES NOT mean two camera apertures. It means that the two lenses will be "on top" of each other, which gives you zoom!
A telephoto lens (if it can even be called that) hardly brings the iPhone into DSLR territory, instead it brings it into the same class as EVERY point-and-shoot camera from the last two decades (the same ones you can no longer buy because they're no longer economically viable). Don't get me wrong, I'd love to increase the zoom on my iPhone shots without losing resolution data, but Apple still has a LONG way to go before it replaces my Canon DSLR!
When they said that Camera Pixel higher than 2 mp on high quality cameras, they were wrong. They said phones can't be smaller than those first generation phones that came with a bag, they were wrong. Your're stating that DLSR camera will always beat smart phones be cameras... You will be wrong.
They just might. It feels and looks better that way with the button. Reviews mentioned they wish Apple kept it on the top, and the newer iPhones might have it. People will say it's less android like, but for FaceTime, I don't see a flash necessary because you're staring right at the camera and the flash is too bright to look at, you'll might as well stare away when it's on.
