Apple could launch Apple Pay in Canada as soon as March, reports 9to5mac. Source say Apple is planning to expand Apple Pay internationally in 2015, with Canada being one of the first countries to launch.
Source say Apple and its partners are preparing promotion and advertising material for March, but of course there could be delays in negotiations; nevertheless, Apple is still targeting a March rollout. Apple first launched Apple Pay in the United States in October. Since then, the service has seen great support from banks and consumers.
We first reported that Apple had assembled a team in London to expand the service across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Asia. Apple was also reportedly in talks with banks in the UK to bring the service in that region as well.
The Apple Watch is also scheduled to launch in March as well, so Apple could debut both together.

Good luck to Apple on the launch in Canada. The major banks already have equivalent systems in place to compete with ApplePay so there's no compelling reason to use it. With Canada's strong cross-country banking system and NFC in every existing credit card (tap to pay) there's no consumer demand for Apple - or anyone else.
What are you talking about?
The tap to pay on my credit cards only ever lasts a couple months before the card cracks and I have to use the chip instead. And what does a strong cross-country banking system have to do with people using Apple Pay? The minute I can put my credit card into Apple Pay, I'm doing it.
I mean I guess you could say there's no consumer demand. Much in the same way there's no demand for OS 8.2. Everyone will use it when it arrives, but nobody is knocking over old ladies to get at it.
It will be ubiquitous within months of its launch. I guarantee it.
