TOO MANY FORCE CLOSES and isn't fully functional on my 5s with IOS 8.1. I'm trying to rid my phone of Pangu but it even force closes my settings when I go to disable Find My IPhone (to factory restore). Every app I open seems to be doomed shortly after opening. Totally frustrating!

I did a clean update on my iPad 2 before using the latest pangu to jailbreak and then restoring my content a few days ago... Everything seemed great, until about an hour ago when I restarted my iPad for the first time. Now, its stuck at an Apple logo! Anyone experienced this and have ideas on what to

....and now I've stumbled onto a thread advising not to open cydia until after data is restored from backup. Okay then, let me quickly restore to clean ios 8.1 and try this again.

Follow this sequence: Restore/Update > Restore backup > Jailbreak> install cydia packages. Don't jailbreak before restore. I experience this twice and this is so far the best way to jailbreak without stuck on apple logo on reboot.

Do I have to restore
Do I have to restore - November 5, 2014 at 9:39am
So if I have already jailbroken my phone with version 1.1, do I have to restore my phone and re-jailbreak my phone with version 1.2 for best results? Is it recommended? I know that it is not needed and I know the Cydia untether update fixes a lot of the problems but should I have to restore my phone again and re-jailbreak with 1.2 for new improvements that are within the jailbreaking tool process?

My iPhone 5 crashes everytime I lock it. It boots into safe mode and I have to get it out of safe mode. This happens every time after jailbreaking with Pangu. I have not installed anything after that. Anyone having the same issue?

Anyone else gets Safari and Mail crash even with the newest update?

I am also having e-mail crash whenever I open a mail to read it, Safari too plus even some third party apps. When I boot into safe mode (holding volume up) all the issues disappear. So I uninstalled Cydia Substrate, rebooted, the issues were gone. Reinstalled Cydia with the latest Cydia installer, the problem was back. Clearly some of us are having substrate issues. For now I stay booted in safe mode, Grooveshark still works, so does MyWi 8.0 so, I'm still sort of happy I'm jailbroken until the issue is fixed.

It's a fantastic jailbreak so easy to proceed with, just tweeks and apps needs to be updated in order to work.

Jailbreak works fine for me. I just stayed away from tweaks that don't work with iOS 8 yet. Like appcent will install but then causes your device to go into safe mode when installing an app from the App Store, so I uninstalled it, other than that, I haven't had a problem.

Hmmmm. I think pangu's real name is Microsoft!

It works like a charm on my iPhone 6. I have jailbroken my iPhone's since the iPhone 3G. And this have been painless. Maybe just for the 32bit iPhones its the trouble. Or maybe I'm just lucky.

I think Google is behind this jailbreak. It is so awful, I think it intended to drive people to Android. Absolutely the worst jailbreak experience ever.

Is there any difference from the 1.1.0 & cydia 1.1.15? If so how do I update it while my phone is already jailbroken?

Wait so if I have already jailbroken from a previous version of this, do I get the new version and do it again? Or is there a Cydia update that fixes this?

World007 - November 4, 2014 at 8:44am
Yes you should upgrade by Cydia and the patch will work.
