Apple is reportedly working on a new 12.2-inch iPad Pro which will rival the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, reports Mac Otakara.
A 'reliable source' tells the site that the rather than 12.9-inch screen size previously rumored, the tablet will feature a 12.2-inch LCD.
The thickness of the iPad is apparently designed to be between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus' thickness. That would put it at 7mm, since the iPhone 6 is 6.9mm thick and the iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1mm thick.
Notably, the iPad may feature speakers at the top and bottom, perhaps for stereo.
Product design concept seems to be based on iPad Air 2, pair of speakers and microphones will be added on top-side not only bottom’s pair. iPad Pro might be capable for supporting stereo audio. Source mentioned about another design of features. iSight, Lightning connector and Touch-ID sensor will not be inlay with diamond-catted hole, but will be placed like as MacBook Air LCD panel.
Previous reports have suggested that Apple has delayed production of the larger tablet to handle the demand for the iPhone 6 Plus. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
