These are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone 6 Plus, 6, 5s, 5c, 5, 4s on iOS 8.0 - 8.1 using Pangu8 for Windows...
If you aren't already at iOS 8.1 we suggest upgrading to the latest firmware using iTunes. You can find download links for iOS 8.1 here. We've also posted instructions on how to update the firmware of your iPhone. Please note that you must update using iTunes rather than Software Update. If you used Software Update you should do a backup then restore to iOS 8.1 using iTunes.
Step One Create an iClarified folder on your desktop and download the latest version of Pangu into the folder. If your download is a zip file then extract the archive into the same folder.
Step Two Tap Settings from your Springboard then select Touch ID & Passcode. Turn Passcode Off if it is enabled.
Step Three Press the Settings button at the top left to return to the Settings menu. Choose iCloud from the Settings menu then select Find My iPhone from the iCloud menu. Ensure the Find My iPhone switch is the Off position.
Step Four Return to the Settings menu by tapping the iCloud then Settings buttons at the top left of the screen. Then enable Airplane Mode by tapping the Airplane Mode switch.
Step Five Connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable, launch iTunes, and perform a manual backup. It is very important that you remember to backup your device before continuing as you could lose your data if the jailbreak process does not complete successfully.
Step Six Double click the Pangu executable from the iClarified folder on your desktop to launch the application.
Step Seven You will notice the device is detected by the software. Click the large Start Jailbreak button to begin your jailbreak.
Step Eight You will be prompted to confirm that you've backed up your device and that it's in Airplane Mode, click the Already Did button to continue.
Step Nine The Pangu app will now begin the jailbreak process.
Step Ten Once the jailbreak has completed successfully, your iPhone will reboot and a Pangu app and Cydia app will appear on your Springboard. Congratulations, you're now jailbroken!
*A big thanks to the Pangu team and all the others who contributed to this jailbreak.

Pangu keeps failing to jailbreak my device... How do I fix this? I followed all the steps. I have restarted my computer and my device, tried on different days, deleted and reinstalled Pangu... don't understand
My iPhone is 5s, on iOS 8.1.0 . I clean restored via iTunes, Turned off passcode & Auto-lock, enabled Airplane mode, set date to 2nd June, 2014 . When I use Pangu 1.2.1 for iOS 8 to jailbreak, I'm always ending up with "error occurred ..." screen after step 5/6 of transferring data (screen discussed here without solution : http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1816778).
What can I do to Jailbreak properly ?
I guess a very simple piece to remember is missing from most tutorials & that is DO NOT RESTORE FROM A PREVIOUS BACKUP BEFORE THE JAILBREAK, otherwise you'll keep getting stuck with the aforementioned weird error, which nobody has an answer to. JAILBREAK first over a cleanly restored & Activated iPhone. Then restore backup.
So here's the exact procedure I followed for my iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.0 ;
Backup your iPhone via latest iTunes
Restore iPhone to 8.x via iTunes to keep it clean
Activate using a valid SIM card (Even if you have an activated phone, but you ever restored from a previous backup, you'd not be able to Jailbreak. So, Restore software, Activate, Jailbreak, then Restore Backup)
Pangu prep :
Passcode off
Auto Lock off
Find my iPhone OFF
Date & Time - 2 Jun 2014, 8:30
Airplane Mode ON
Start Pangu, connect iPhone & Run Jailbreak
You should see Cydia / Pangu icons on the Springboard
After Jailbreak completion, you may restore the backup of your iPhone via iTunes

4-Restore backup from itunes
Can this work?
Hi All,
IPhone 6 IOS 8.1
I followed the instructions but when I connect my device Pangu says "New device detected, connecting..." and goes no further.
Please help.
Many thanks

finally fixed the issue... by using a different machine on which to run the j/b.
For some reason my laptop was stopping Pangu from working.
All now good
My phone 4S doesn´t start after I jailbreaked with Pangu8... the apple logo apears in about 10-15 seconds and it shuts down again, anybody who succeeded with an 4S?
