It's unclear if Apple's launch date for Apple Pay is the same as Walgreens. The company is holding a special event on October 16th at which it is likely to announce the official launch date.
Apple was considering having paypal as a apple pay partner until they signed a deal with Samsung. If it wasn't for that it might have happened. That's one reason paypal is salty over the whole deal. Even though it isn't big now a lot of payment service companies are afraid of what apple pay could become.
You gotta understand how apple pay works. It uses NFC for transactions. So it will never work online. It needs a physical device that you receive your the info from the iPhone 6, 6plus
I do understand how it works but if they just limited to bricks and mortar then it's a FAIL ! I can't tell you the exact figure of online shoppers but it must be at lease 40% !
Yes if they just limited to bricks and mortar then it's would FAIL but they are not. They are also adding support for the apps to use apple pay so it basically is like Paypal but yes it has some limitations.
Well ebay and PayPal is splitting up into two company's for what reasons I don't know but it would be a good idea if apple pay was aloud in ebay it would be a plus for people that hate PayPal and might encourage sales !
