Samsung Posts Galaxy Note 4 Bend Test, Simulates Device Being Sat On By 220 Lb Man [Video]

Posted October 2, 2014 at 4:34pm by iClarified
In an effort to benefit from the Bendgate controversy, Samsung has posted a new Galaxy Note 4 bend test video.

The video shows a 3-point bend test being performed on the device, as well as a human weight test which simulates a 220 lb man sitting on the device hundreds of times.

Leaving things in your back pocket can lead to, well, bent things. Hence the question: what about my phone? Namely, the Galaxy Note 4. Samsung makes and sells hundreds of millions of smart devices each year, and it's very important that each and every one is in line with its strict quality control standards. So, to make sure you can rely on its devices, including Galaxy Note 4, Samsung runs rigorous tests both during and after development and production. This video shows some of the tests that Samsung runs to give you, and your back pocket, peace of mind.

Take a look at the video below...

Samsung needs to sell their phones cheaper. Compete with the Chinese like XiaoMi. The way Samsung markets its phones will fit very well at the bottom end of the market.

Do some research. Samsung has historically lied about their numbers. CEO lied to shareholders. All documented. All proven. You don't even have any proof when you talk about Apple.

How can plastic bend on bumping on it? For plastic to bend force should be applied and kept for some time. And also on bending like did for iPhone there are more chances of breaking the plastic phone. Samsung should learn physics before posting such videos.

They put almost no weight on it and the human weight test was done with some nicki minaj implant replicas. Why don't they put as much weight as they did on the 6 and 6 for a side by side bend test?

Weak tests. This is hardly comparable to the bend tests Consumer Reports has done.
