Preliminary iPhone 6 Benchmarks: Browser, GPU, Web Browsing Battery Life [Charts]

Check out some of these preliminary iPhone 6 benchmark results posted by AnandTech for browser benchmarks, GPU performance, and web browsing battery life.

Browser Benchmarks:
There was a 13% increase in performance when running the SunSpider test and a 7.5% increase in the Kraken test. Notably, the iPhone 6 did better in the SunSpider test but the iPhone 6 Plus performed better in the Kraken test.

GPU Performance:
AnandTech found that the iPhone 6/A8 generally had a pretty solid lead over the competition in GPU performance. Also the 2208x1242 resolution of the iPhone 6 Plus that all content is rendered at had a significant impact to GPU performance.

Web Browsing Battery Life:
The iPhone 6 beats nearly every Android smartphone on the market, according to the chart below. The iPhone 6 Plus performs even better due to its larger battery but is not able to touch the Ascend Mate 2.

The battery of the iPhone 6 lasted 11.47 hours when browsing the web over Wi-Fi. Apple claims a battery life of up to 11 hours for this task. The battery of the iPhone 6 Plus was tested to last 13.72 hours when browsing the web over Wi-Fi. This is higher than Apple's claim of 12 hours of battery life for Wi-Fi browsing.

Where is the Xperia z2 in this benchmark? You cant say ever andriod on the market if you don't include the z2?! -written on an iPhone 5S. When the z3 comes out I'll look at the benchmarks to see which is the better phone.

Samsung fans heads explode, unable to comprehend how a duo core CPU can be faster than their precious quad core and above CPUs. And they will explode further when game performance is shown to be faster too. And 1Gb ram is sufficient for now.

So for gaming, the 6 is a better choice than the 6 plus. Very low frame rates on the 6 plus!

what happened to comparing to S5 , Note 4, etc.. anyways, its been since 6.30 am now its 1.13 pm and i have dropped from 100% to 88% , with moderate browsing, background emails and apps refreshing, and a few calls.

I'm still interested in 4g browsing. That's the real killer for me. Anyway, it looks like the iPhone 6 performs well and that's a good sign.

What phone do you have? An iPhone 5s has a 1510mAh battery whereas, the 6 Plus has a 2930mAh
