Two Takes on What the iPhone 6 Rear Will Look Like [Renders]

Two Takes on What the iPhone 6 Rear Will Look Like [Renders]

Posted August 24, 2014 at 1:11am by iClarified
There are two visions of what the iPhone 6's rear shell may look like when it's finally unveiled. Designer Martin Hajek has created 3D renders that help us visualize both possibilities.

I decided to take a conceptually closer look… If I have to choose you ask?
I think I will go for…waiting to see what Apple actual comes up with :-)
(but in all honesty – the thick plastic bands around a metal area are just not doing it for me)

Check out his renders below and let us know which you prefer in the comments! If you like the model you can purchase it on TurboSquid.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6 on September 9th.

According to previous leaks, there is fundamental difference between those two designs (iphone 5/5s vs iPhone 6). Plastic stripe on iPhone 5/5s can be so thin because it only connects two SEPARATE aluminium parts. But on purported iPhone 6 there is true unibody design, so there is really only one aluminium part with grooves for antena. So this stripe must be so thick, because there is hidden complete antena INSIDE this groove (you can imagine insulated wire there). So,unfortunately, “ugly thick stripes” would be very real then...

My wife says, "My IPhone is too big", I told her that it won't hurt too much if I go bigger so that she will to hold it with both hands to operate. I always wonder if I started BIG if she would have wanted my apples? Well with the new reversal plug, we will sure to have a lot of fun. Does anyone know how thick the new phone will be,..I may have to prepare her for a slightly slimmer feeling on her hands? A hard aluminum will always win over that soft plastic...she definitely thinks so!

I saw this one video over comparing it's thinness to iPod touch and suprise suprise it's as thing as an iPod, even the volume buttons fit in the case he showed but not the switch.

Back and Front should be ONE COLOR, like the Iphone 4. I have the 5 and don't like the material/color scheme of it. However, it is visibly faster at processing everything compared to the 4. I am seriously thinking about bowing out of the smartphone market...

I found the 5s more creative on outside and inside. One full color doesn't feel like it's enough for me.

The 5c don't have them plastic segments. So why do you think the 6 will

Because that's how metal iPhones work.

That iPhone looks tacky, so it'll match all of its customers!

HTC takes the cake for that. So does the worshippers.

Why do all the photos only seem to show the tacky gold (champagne) colour? Im hoping the slate grey will have black or grey plastic segments and look a whole lot nicer!

If they actually release either, I'll be deeply ashamed of Apple and stick with the 5s

If I wanted the 6 that bad, I wouldn't be this disappointed and still buy it, but I am happy with my 5s the way it is because it's big enough.

Wish they could make the phone "unibody" like the mbp's

gamerscul9870 - August 24, 2014 at 3:59am
Why? Is unibody durable?

I just think it would look cleaner design-wise... No weird lines across the back

The layout of the right side is good disregarding colors and antenna breaks that look better on the left. Do it like what I said though and it's perfect.

Gold on gold looks better then my 5S which is gold with white panels. But that me.

The one that looks like a bigger version if the 5s is the best, makes it look less ugly even if it still has those thick likes.

Both look tacky, all I hope is that those thick antenna lines aren't there or at least masked a bit. Shooting for the black/Space gray version this time around.
