A physical mockup of the new iPad Air with Touch ID fingerprint detection support has surfaced online. Nowhereelse obtained a large set of photos which reveal that the new tablet will have a very similar design to the current model.
Not surprisingly, this supposed second generation iPad Air inherited format iPad Air first name but nevertheless differs from the latter by its button back to home now with the authentication system by reading fingerprint Touch ID.
It is also noted that the volume control buttons have in this case been inserted into a cavity. Even more curious, we finally notice the mysterious disappearance of the lock button of the device ...
According to recent reports, production of a new iPad Air that has the same design but an updated A8 processor and a 8MP camera is set to begin this month.
Apple is expected to launch the new iPad Air earlier than it when launched the iPad Air last year (November). It's also expected cut the price of the iPad mini with Retina display. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says the rumored 12.9-inch iPad is still being actively worked on; however, it's not likely to launch in 2014.
