Watch People in NYC React to an iPhone 6 Mock-Up [Video]

Posted May 26, 2014 at 10:19pm by iClarified
UrAvgConsumer took a physical mock-up of Apple's rumored iPhone 6 to the streets of New York City for reactions from random passersby.

Take a look at video to see what people thought. Let us know what you think in the comments. Is the mock-up too large, too rounded, too much like another device?

the people who are not thrilled with the design wouldn't buy any new design anyway(broke). they are not the people apple should be aiming for. the iPhone 6 will sell better for the screen alone. and the bigger battery will certainly big a HUGE plus. i mean, how many people are disabling smartphone features just so their iPhone can last almost a day. basically making a smartphone to a dumb phone. i welcome the big size. what the people CANNOT experience is the bigger screen. they can only see the hardware. so it's not a real reactions. TRUST ME, if it was a workable iPhone 6 with a live screen, they would all be doing cartwheel.s IMO i think the speculative design is very boring but i will always prefer function over the design. or design that follows function. i hope for the iPhone 6s, they decide to slightly thicken or square off for even more battery space. market the battery life. be the longest lasting smartphone. smartphones are fast enough now for the general population. now address the battery life, just like the iPads are designed to last 10 hrs of usage. heavier is okay too. more battery please on the next iPhone.

If there is a lot more to offer in iPhone other than size (more than 3 new things and yes chip counts, but also upgraded parts, more new things going in iPhone etc.) then there may be a chance.

Look's like you're too young to understand the difference.

There's a significant number of "older (45-55 yo)" users that's constantly complaint about the current screen is too small for their "older" eyes. It would be interesting to see their opinions as well instead of just these youngsters.

im happy with my ip5s size and flat sides. fits in hand great. i had a gs5 the last 2 weeks testing and didn't care for it at all. it was too big and screen felt thin and weak.

Too big. Would you rather have a phone you can barely hold with one hand then it shatters or have one big enough to read, use, and hold. 4" is where it's at. The bigger phones are the harder they fall.

What you said in the last sentence.

According to Newton's law f=ma it's the mass, not the size of the phone that matters with regard to how hard it hits the ground. If they make the new phone larger but no heavier then it will not hit the ground any harder when dropped

I meant how hard the front shatters and how easily it chips off and if it affects the phones stability and all such as if if fully damages the os, then it can't work anymore.
