iPhone 6 Concept Features Three-Sided Display [Video]

Iskander Utebayev has posted a new concept for the iPhone 6 featuring a three-sided display.

The concept puts quick launch icons on the side display along with controls for the music player.

It's unlikely that Apple will release such a design for the iPhone 6. However, Samsung is reportedly planning to release a Galaxy smartphone with a three-sided display that wraps around the edges of the device. In fact, a patent recently surfaced which demonstrated how the interface would work. You can check that out here.

Well It looks great when it's on but how can you use the volume when it's off? And if the sides stay on, that just wouldn't work. And even though it looks great on, when you hold it in your hands you will be pressing buttons on the side so you would possibly have to adapt a new way of holding it. Looks cool but a lot of ifs

That's why curved screen idea were outdated after eliminating them on tv's, so tpwhen the hell is going back.

Samsuck will do it first since they try to come up with ideas and the fact they came up with curved screen, I bet they'll call it galaxy s4 wrap!

like mimus says... how would anyone use this. The edge to edge concept looks cool, however the hands will always interrupt the use of this screen holding it, furthermore, the wrapped display only worsens this problem since one hand is always gripping the phone.

Like I said, Nope!! Not a good idea, that could never be designed by Apple!! The only direction I see Apple going in is to design a larger wider iphone like the Galaxy, that is the only way now. They can have the 5s for people that still want a smaller phone and the iphone 6 can be the larger wider version for those who want a bigger screen.

Not too practical. How would you hold it? I prefer real buttons for that as well as the home button. I wish they would also make a larger size with much more battery life and have it available when they announce it in the fall. Also start at 32G for the 16G price and go up from there. Two size options too, so everyone has the perfect size.

They will next year but then people will be like "apple copied this" or "now they caught up to samsung" but they really should do it since some are picky for size and not specs! For me 4" is enough!

I agree, there isn't a practical way to hold it unless there was a lock feature for the side screens. Still, too cumbersome

Maybe there just trying to be fancy. You can still probably have the same case you use for you regular iPhone you have now , and maybe there is options on the actual face on the iPhone to do .
