Alongside the release of iOS 7.0.4 today, Apple has also released iOS 6.1.5 for the iPod touch 4G and iOS 6.0.2 for the Apple TV.
The iOS 6.1.5 firmware fixes the same FaceTime bug resolved with iOS 7.0.4. At this point is unclear what else is new in the updated firmware; however, we'll let you know as soon as we find anything.
We'll be posting download links shortly. Stay tuned by following iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS.
I just received my iOS 6.1.5 but I have no idea why we had to update. My FaceTime was working fine... Anyway I am looking forward to iOS 7 :D it would be amazing if we could have it even if it is going to have lower abilities
My 3rd gen Apple TV failed to restart after applying the update. I had to unplug the power cord and plug it back in to do a hard reboot. But the update seems to have finished ok. Shows the new version number and everything works.
Actually, it is because of RAM. Not screen size. iOS7 requires a minimum 512 MB of RAM, while the iPod 4th generation only has 256 MB. Get your facts straight. (:
