Apple is now letting iTunes users contribute to Philippine Typhoon relief efforts by making a monetary donation to the American Red Cross.

Typhoon Haiyan (known in the Philippines as Typhoon Yolanda) is unofficially the strongest recorded tropical cyclone to make landfall, with wind speeds up to 315 km/h (195 mph). The true scale of casualties remains unclear. The authorities said on November 12th that at least 10,000 people may have died in the disaster - and according to UN officials about 11 million people have been affected, many have been left homeless.
