Techdy claims to have gotten a hold of one of the leaked low cost iPhone shells and display assemblies, combining them to give us an idea of exactly what the device will look like.
As can be seen from the images above, all the rumors about the low-cost plastic iPhone seem to be true. The budget iPhone will be made substantially from plastic (we can feel it’s actually polycarbonate material). It will have a 4” screen, like the iPhone 5, and interestingly, the budget iPhone actually has a shape that’s similar to Apple’s original iPod. When we hold the budget iPhone in our hands, the plastic chassis does not feel cheap at all. Unlike the plastic build quality of the Samsung Galaxy phones, the plastic material used on the budget iPhone feels more sturdy. And guess what, we were able to fit the display assembly into the new budget iPhone’s rear shell. The display assembly just seemed to fit perfectly inside of the rear shell.
As you can see in the video, Techdy appears to have plans to sell an Android knockoff version of the phone which may put the validity of their claims in question. However, the rear shell does appear to match previous leaks.
Take a look...

Apple didn't make the touch screen but what they did do is make a touch screen that you wouldn't need a stylus for. Second thing did you know that Android was optimized for non touch screen phones it wasn't till the iPhone that Eric Emerson Schmidt decided to optimize Android for a touch screen phone while he was a board member at Apple which he participated in meeting about the iPhone and its software. He then recused himself from participating in future projects cIn 2008 the App Store was released for the iPhone in iOS 2.0 where Android didn't have one.... A year later Google releases Android market equivalent to Apple's App Store and then later renamed play store. So you can rant on all you want but I just provided some historical facts that anyone that knows anything can't refued but I know you will anyways. I don't like android for my personal use I think that is a good OS just not for me.
Agreed on most of what you said. Owned orig. iPhone, the 3G, 4, and 4S, didn't get the 5 (oh wow, a slightly longer screen...). Upgraded to a Galaxy S4 and never looked back. Apple will put out a slightly bigger and slightly better iPhone 6 next fall or winter (2014) and Galaxy S4 owners will say, "Had that a year and a half ago." Yes, polycarbonate, but feels solid enough for me. I don't need something as hard as a piece of slate rock. Modifiable right out of the box, easy to "root", with my previous jailbreaking experience. Even if you don't root, you still have access to great apps like WinAmp and Firefox Browser (you can even install Adobe Flash inside Firefox) that Stevie's Sandbox wont allow.
Suspect Apple's next "Wow" move will be in areas other than phones... can we talk all of you into buying a new watch, LOL?
Pretty cool minus the Jellybean concept? Isn't that why we spend the additional cash? Or the purpose of a " less expensive" iPhone? To allow people of all economies to partake in the most advanced OS?Unless you want it to earn the name "cheap" iPhone, don't mix Apples and oranges..
