Leaked Photo of Upcoming 'Made for iPhone' Logitech Gaming Controller

A leaked photo of an upcoming Logitech game controller for the iPhone and iOS 7 has been posted online by Kotaku.

Can't tell you who gave it to us or where it was seen, but we can vouch for this image's authenticity. The controller is large enough to fit an iPhone 5. When iOS 7 introduces third-party controller support in the fall we'll see this thing, plus a bunch of others, probably. Apple evidently won't be making its own.

Apple announced that it would be including official support for iOS game controllers during its WWDC keynote this year.

iOS 7 is set to debut this fall alongside a rumored iPhone 5S.

Well this is oddly new but may be stupid, a phone with a console controller! Which game needs it, that's not possible!

Apple is in a perfect position to completely revolutionise the games market. With Apple TV they could make the Xbox PS4 and WiiU niche products just by opening the thing up. More high end games running over Airplay with controller support. It seems a no brainier to me- and the iOS feature I want the most.

Controller plus it's own battery to give the phone more juice would be a winner.
