AT&T Announces Samsung Galaxy S 4 Pre-Orders Start April 16th for $249.99

AT&T has announced that pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will begin April 16th for $249.99 with a two year contract.

Continuing our legacy as the first carrier to launch Samsung’s Galaxy series, we are excited to announce AT&T customers will be able to begin pre-ordering the Galaxy S 4 beginning April 16 for $249.99 with a two-year commitment. We are proud to offer this iconic device and continue to offer our customers the best smartphone line-up, with a variety of devices for every lifestyle and budget.

The price point is a bit surprising since the device is meant to compete with the iPhone at $199. Perhaps the company feels customers will pay more for the smartphone's larger 5-inch display.

Seeing is believing! Right now I do not see any information from AT&T saying that they will sell Galaxy S4 at $250 with 2 years contract! This Galaxy S4 will compete with iPhone 5, HTC One, ect.... which selling at $200 with 2 years contract so I do not believe it will sell at $250.

Wow. Samsuck is brave listing the gs4 $50 more than the iPhone 5. U would have to be an idiot to pay that price for a plastic pos.

Apple better get on board and build a bigger screen and have two iPhones per year

2 iPhones per year... You kidding right? One is enough. They just need to stop beating around the bush and use some of that cash and make something new. Honestly nothing new has come out since iPhone 4. I own an iPhone 5 and am ok with it. The UI is getting boring. The apps are great but the UI needs to be refreshed and add more features. Prime example is what HTC and Samsung are doing. The iPhone has so much potential but is being held back because ever since Jobs left Apple shifted focus from quality products to quantify products.
