Woz Takes Issue With Video Clip From 'jOBS' Movie

Posted January 24, 2013 at 9:57pm by iClarified
Steve Wozniak is already questioning the accuracy of the upcoming 'jOBS' movie following the release of the first video clip from the movie, reports Gizmodo.

Not close...we never had such interaction and roles...I'm not even sure what it's getting at...personalities are very wrong although mine is closer...don't forget that my purpose was inspired by the values of the Homebrew Computer Club along with ideas of the value of such machines and Steve J. wasn't around and didn't attend the club so he was the one learning about such social impact of the future.

Although it's somewhat expected that the movie would embellish the story, it is disappointing that the first clip is already being declared inaccurate.

Take a look at the clip below...

I used to have great respect for Woz. But the last several years, i'm beginning to understand why he never wanted to be a part of Apple anymore. Even him being co-foumnder still baffles me. Sure he's smart and very good at what he does. but he is not business smart. if it was up to Woz to lead Apple, there wouldn't even have been an Apple.

Whilst fiction it would seem obvious that Woz should have had input - if only to prevent immediate trashing of the film by the real personalities I also doubt that SJ was the visionary from birth, more likely he grew to see the potential in later life. The instant visionary is too close to Superman to gain credibility

have to disagree, steve jobs saw visionary potential immediately, but the vision was the green bills of dollars and cents. steve jobs assumed the role of salesman and acting leader - a ceo at early go. where i do agree with you, is steve didn't act like this buddhist guru, enlightening the path for world change until he returned to apple. Is this scene taken from a point where Apple is already a formed company with over 200 employees? Woz does says hi or good bye to Charlene... ?

Well, it was the biggest. In 2012 was in 22nd place but you can not get there being a big lie. Am I wrong?

You'd think that Woz would be one of the main information sources for the movie. Sad that it isn't so.

I think this movie just wants to show how Steve was different.

They don't wanna show how he was different, they wanna make money. So he IS going to look different.

Read the recent biography of Jobs. Neither of these movie characters appears in that book. Given the sales of the book. that's what folks will use for comparison.

It's clearly designed to conform to the story as we imagine it played out, rather than how it actually did. But hey, it's a movie not a documentary. It takes the story and tells it in an interesting way- that's what it's supposed to do.

The clip was garbage IMO characters aren't believable at all maybe if kutcher could make his voice sound different it would be better
It's a movie. A fiction. Anything goes.

It's a movie and a fiction. Hollywood can make up anything they want in a movie. Woz should watch the then end of the movie Chicken Little in which Hollywood depicts Chicken Little as a gigantic rooster in a supposedly movie based on a true story.
