Photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, the company's answer to the iPad mini, have been leaked online by DDay.it.

We are holding the picture of what seems to be the new Samsung tablet, do not know whether a prototype or the final version ( but it seems to be). The design is almost identical to that of the Galaxy S III or Galaxy Note II but bigger, with the physical key in the low to the other two function keys Android. In the corner, at the bottom right, the housing for the S-Pen. A line like that, and that has become a hallmark of the Galaxy family.

The screen is in 16:9 but 16:10, a screen a bit 'wider ensures better readability and more space for content and applications. Resolution should be confirmed by the rumors, and 1280 x 800 LCD technology to not break your budget. Confirmed the back camera without flash, almost certainly form a 5 megapixel camera as confirmed from published specifications from some foreign site.

The upcoming device is said to feature 2GB of RAM and a quadcore processor.

For 99 bucks i'd try it as a paper weight . A penny more and it keeps cluttering the shelf....:)

I like Android and Samsung, but somehow I feel this thing is kinda ugly for me. The curved corner like S3 is just not right for big devices.

As if this comes as a surprise. Copy others is what Samsung does. It's what their whole business model is based on.. oh, except customer service which is pretty much non-existant - but HEY, you pay peanuts you get monkeys (and sub-grade IT equipment).

Apple uses/used Samsung to supply over 90% of its parts... yet somehow Apple is perceived as having better quality. I am sure Apple insisted on better quality components but who really checked on that? THE ONE AND ONLY THING that makes APPLE far greater then Samsung is a product with an UPGRADEABLE OS. Samsung products are dead end the day you buy.

I think these are signature designs. Perhaps, Samsung may have gotten the idea from Apple to stay within design spec for a few years or so. So it's easier for the consumer to tell which product or brand they are buying.
