Cycloramic is an app for the iPhone that physically spins your device 360 degrees while recording video.

Gathered around a dinner table, in a bar, in a club, at home, at a conference table, or at a historical monument? Cycloramic allows you to capture the moment (handsfree) in a unique and fun way whilst making you and your phone the talk of the event!

The developers note that this app has been specifically designed for the iPhone5 and must be used on a smooth, hard and level surface (Glass, granite, ceramic, laminate wood...). The app will open with other iPhones but only the iPhone 5 will spin around handsfree. Not all smooth surface will work. Practice to find the ideal place. Practice makes perfect!

I brought the Cycloramic App today. When I placed my iPhone 4S on granite, on camera option, it spun 360 degrees. However, when I switched to the video option...it only spun 180 degrees. What is wrong? I have the vibe setting on my phone turned on. I want to use the video setting to get a smooth video image. The camera option stops the recording for each frame.

My phone spins very slow and speratic at best. I had my phone on multiple surfaces including granit where it almost worked but still sticks and won't spin easily, my iPhone 5 is also only about 2 weeks old. My friend also has an iPhone 5 and I watch his phone spin seemlessly on almost any surface.

Doesn't work for me on my iPhone 5 either. Is there a vibation setting I need before it will work?

Alex and Ted, Vibration settings must be turned to On. If your phone is set on to “Silent mode”, then you must have the “Vibrate on Silent” setting turned on. If your phone is set on to “Ring mode”, then you must have the “Vibrate on Ring” setting turned on. Also, the app is optimized for the iPhone 5 without a case on it, and the phone must be placed on a smooth, clean, hard, and level surface: The less dense the surface, the better the rotation. (ie: Glass works best)

John, we'd have to disagree with you. You can see some of the videos that users have submitted on our YouTube Channel Playlist, and in terms of creative uses for the app - we've only seen the tip of the iceberg since it was just released - not to mention we have hands-free panoramic photos coming REALLY soon!

I just signed up for the trial.There are some [minor] bugs, but they apeapr to address everything incredibly quickly so I'm not too concerned over those issues being long-term.The interface alone might finally give me the kick in the pants pay for their service as opposed to just having a folder full of of excel spreadsheet invoices.

I get that the phone spins around....and thanks for clearing up what 720degrees means. What should have been shown in that video is the quality of the video it takes.
