Samsung Aims to Preempt Apple Television With Its New Smart TV [Video]

Samsung has posted a teaser for its new Smart TV that it hopes will preempt the rumored Apple Television.

As Samsung prepares to unveil a new TV at CES that is unlike anything the world has ever seen, all other TVs are rushing to see the new TV. Join us and be sure not to miss the breathtaking moment just before the new TV is finally revealed.

Strangely it appears that Samsung has already unveiled the TV on Flickr.

Samsung Electronics introduces a whole new “Smart Hub” at 2013 International CES in Las Vegas from Jan 8th. The new Smart Hub is Samsung Smart TV’s dedicated contents platform where viewers can enjoy various contents such as real time broadcasting TV programs, on-demand movies, apps, and photos. The platform changed the design of background image and simplified the user interface to better serve the customers.

you guys are like little kids, I'm totally an Apple Addict but I'm also not a fool and Apple stopped inventing new stuff all year long comparing to Samsung which all they do is invent just like the smart TV or the 21MG pixel 3G camera and even a laundry machine that uses android code and back to TV's Samsung still are the best HiDef TVs in the market today so stop fooling yourself guys Apple stokes didn't drop so much this month just for fun. I'm totally sad about it and hope that Apple will do something about it and fast before Steve Jobs dream will go down the drain.

All this Samsung vs Apple has too much coincidence with this announcement. There's a Samsung Spy in Apple's Headquarter.

I bought a Samsung 9000 series plasma smart tv over Black Friday. I returned it the next day. Had the loudest buzzing sound I have ever heard. I'm the idiot for ever considering a Samsung product. No wonder it had a $1000 markdown.

I have a Samsung Smart TV and the interface is horrible, and constantly locking up. I use my AppleTV instead on my Samsung. The interface, especially with Netflix, just works so much better, and the sound quality for video on the AppleTV sounds better played through the Samsung than the video coming from the actual TV!!? Go figure.

Apple must be laughing at all the TV manufacturers falling over themselves with their so called Smart TV that they've been selling ever since the first Apple iTV rumour surfaced.
