Apple Releases Apple TV 5.1.1 Firmware Update

Apple has released an iOS 5.1.1 firmware update to the Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3.

It's unclear what exactly is new; however, it may bring may improved support for iTunes 11 and the new Remote app.

Besides increasing stability and performance, it also adds support for Up Next, used with iTunes 11 or iTunes Match.

If you upgrade your baseband, you'll undoubtedly break the jailbreak. The best bet is to NOT upgrade until someone announces whether it's safe to or not. After all, if they've listed no benefits, there's absolutely NO reason to upgrade.

I have an Aplle TV2 with 5.0.2 Jailbroken.. This update is not going to update automatically my TV2 is it?

Install updateBEGONE from Nito. This prevents for accidentally updating your apple tv2 , Hope this helps Nothing updates automatically .You must select from the settings then update. People that say my iphone or apple tv was update by accident. Are lying!
