iH8Sn0w has announced an update to Sn0wBreeze that brings support for jailbreaking the iPhone 3GS and A4 devices on iOS 6.0.1.

What is New?
● Added 6.0 (10A403)/6.0.1 (10A523) support. (Only includes iPhone 3GS & A4 devices).
● The 6.0/6.0.1 is currently a tethered based jailbreak via iBooty (except for iPhone 3GS old bootrom users).
● SAM is built-in for iOS 6 hacktivations. (Hacktivated phones can reboot to a semi-tethered state after being activated [rather than just hang at the Apple Logo]). Kudos @sbingner!

Downgrading:
● Use iFaith mode after selecting/downloading the appropriate IPSW for your device. You will then be prompted to browse for SHSH blobs for the IPSW you have selected.
● Remember to enter a PWNED DFU state with sn0wbreeze's iREB button in the top bar of sn0wbreeze prior to (SHIFT + Restoring) the custom signed IPSW!

iREB & iOS 6:
Due to some changes in iOS 6, the current public standalone version of iREB will NOT enter a proper PWNED DFU state for restoring to custom iOS 6 IPSWs. An update for the standalone version should come sometime this week. In the meantime, use the iREB tab located in sn0wbreeze's top status bar to enter a proper PWNED DFU state.

A5(X)/A6(X) Support?:
As stated many times in the past, sn0wbreeze cannot be updated to work on A5(X)/A6(X) devices until a low level exploit in DFU or iBoot is found and made public.

A5(X)/A6(X) Baseband Preservation/Hacktivation?
For those running A5(X)/A6(X) devices and need to preserve your baseband, there is nothing you can do at the moment. For those wanting to hacktivate, the only advice I can give is to buy the carrier's SIM (the one its locked to obviously) on ebay. The SIM does not have to be active with the carrier to activate the phone.

Known Bugs/Issues:
● Windows 8 users currently need to use this workaround to run sn0wbreeze.
● iPad baseband will fail to flash on iOS 4.0 --> iOS 4.2.1 restores.
● iPod Touch 2G 4.x.x restores fail.

Hi, would it be safe to run this tethered jailbreak on a factory unlocked iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.1(10A523)?As in, would it affect the unlocked carrier status in any way? Thanks for the help!

Hello guys...I am sorry to bother you but I Have been looking around almost every website to try and fix my gf's iphone. She was using it one day and all of a sudden the phone restarted itself and went into recovery mode. It is an iphone 3gs serial 88041 It says baseband is 06.15.00-6.4_m3s2 Firmware- 6.0.1 device model MC555LL/A After countless hours of studying and researching and trying to find the cure for this problem I have finally been able to restore the iphone to os 6.0.1. BUT now for some reason, it is not letting me activate the phone. It keeps send me to the choose wifi page which I did, and then it says attempting to activate but it keeps failing. I have plugged it into itunes to try and activate it but it gives me an error message I know no one has to help me and I may be posting this in the wrong place and I am sorry if i am but will it be possible for someone to give me some advice please!!!

hi guys i have iphone 4 with gevey sim FW 4.2.1 BB 03.10.01 can i update to 6.0.1 if not which one i can??i dont have shsh blobs apple doesnt sign them anymore,it is not jailbroken and the only concern i have is will 6.0.1 work with gevey???

ipod touch 4g, error on restore 6.0.1 error code 3194, on my case i found the problem and i solved it, i used ifaith 4.2 to recover the shsh then i restore the custom firmware using snowbreez. thanks to ifaith.

updating ipod touch 4g on 6.0.1 is failed on my unit, i'm using itune 10.7 the newer ver. but the error is code 3194 anybody knows this solution?, i'll tried snowbreez, ireb 6, i don't have .shsh

i have 3gs old bootrom, with bb 05.13.04, running ios 4.0.1. i want to update to ios 6.0.1 and preserve my baseband too.. is this work for me if i follow the whole instructions? thank you in advance..

Finally something that works. I have always had luck with Snowbreeze for jailbreaking my iPhone4 at the first instance! This one works people - if you follow the instructions properly! Cydia works as it should.

patience iphone 5 jailbreak coming soon if it was that easy anybody can do it. me i still have my 4s until the jailbreak comes out and all the bugs are worked out on the iphone 5 than i will switch. apple didnt win they never will. nobody can make a perfect unjailbreakable software.

guys, you dont need a jailbreak to unlock iPhone 5. There are permanent unlocks available, cheap, that work even if you update you firmware and baseband. I agree a jailbreak for iPhone 5 would be nice too, just saying you CAN unlock, without jailbreak.

Who uses iPhone 3GS ? Even an iPhone 4 ! these phones are almost outdated Have u used an iPhone 3GS lately ? Slow as hell.. Compares to an iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 Come on guys release the jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPhone 5. First of all if u already jailbroken an A4 b4 you can always restore it to 5.1.1 with no problems My iPhone 5 is so boring with the jailbreak I'm using my 4s on 5.1.1 rt now Please guys wrk on iOS 6.0.1 untethered Thank you

Guys, apple won. The cat nd mouse chase is over. The iPhone is no longer the best, it cannot be jailbroken, and other devices do (sometimes better) what I phone does. I'm makin the switch soon

Sadly you are right. I don't understand why they would do such stupid things. I have been a faithful iPhone user from day one and thought I would always be. When did I become the bad guy? When did jailbreaking become apples worst enemy? Now apples worst enemy will destroy apple. Sell apple stock, get a new android phone and be free of restrictions
