AT&T has reportedly blacked out vacation time and started training employees for an 'iconic release', reports TechCrunch.
We've received yet another bit of evidence confirming the next iPhone's September 21 launch. According to an AT&T sales rep, AT&T staff has been given a vacation blackout from September 21 to September 30, just like Verizon employees. Our source also mentioned that blue carrier employees are undergoing training for an "iconic release."
Last week the site reported that a Verizon source had confirmed a release date of September 21th for the next generation iPhone. Apple is expected to unveil the device on September 12th.
Yeah, they're training all their employees how to talk people out of buying the iPhone they came in for in exchange for an Android device they won't use, thus 'saving' ATT upgrade money.
I finished my 2 year term with crappy AT&T and even though I completed my contract. I asked AT&T to unlock my iPhone and denied me. After arguing with them, I told them to go screw themselves and I told the manager that AT&T has given me no choice and forced my hand to use Cydia and jailbreak the phone to then use a unlock program to unlock a phone ( I own ). - they then decided to have me arrested and confiscate my iPhone saying I am violating federal laws. I then got arrested and was held for 3 days..... On the report it says - charged with unauthorised usage of a federal device and violating FCC laws...... What ever that means... Tomorrow I get to hire a lawyer.
@copperhead. You do know your not suppose to tell them that, you should have said that your going to leave the company and tell everyone else too, that should have worked
If you unlock your phone without express permission from ATT it's a federal crime and it can only be done if you jailbreak, which charges the format of the phone which is illegal. - @king -- you're right I was pissed off though . When I told them I was going to unlock it myself they confiscated my phone and then things went down hill from there. But yes, unlocking is very illegal, but to do that you must jailbreak first and they are doing it because of the unlock.
Ya very true KING, the thing is I yelled that I was going to unlock it myself, and they confiscated my phone and called the cops.. Unlocking is illegal because it changes the software script., which is illegal. In order to do the unlock you have to jailbreak first, which they are also counting it as illegal, even though it's not a crime, but because I yelled it out in anger that I was going to unlock it. That's when shot hit the fan.
