Apple's next generation iPhone will reportedly feature a quad-core processor, according to a brief DigiTimes report.
The site says competition for quad-core smartphones will heat up in the fourth quarter of 2012 with HTC, Samsung, LG, and other already having released devices with the more powerful processors.
Additionally, Apple is also expected to release its next-generation iPhone built on Samsung's Exynos 4 quad-core processor in the second half, heating up competition in the segment, commented the sources.
Many expected Apple to release a quad-core processor for the new iPad; however, instead Apple released the A5X processor which featured improved graphics. Thus, it's unclear exactly what Apple's plans for the next generation iPhone will be.
you don't have the slightest idea of how business works. if samsung says fuck u to apple, then it's like saying to themselves let's lose our biggest and most profitable client of all time.
But Kamatis samsung wouldn't want to lose apple as a supplier because for them it's a revenue buster think of it like this the processors they make they maybe sell to apple for $10 a piece everytime a new iphone comes out everyone who had the iphone 4s wants the newer ones. The main reason apple is making revenue is because old iphone owners wanting the next model they've done this since the iphone 2g.
I personally think its still gonna be a dual core... Quad core might be for iPhone 6, but not iPhone 5. Currently quad core is still a over hyped requirement at the moment.
It doesn't surprise me at all , we expect that the next iPhone will be going to make big changes around the world and as always keep its throne over all smart phone in the world , they can come close to it but neversurpase it
