Apple has reportedly made a deal with local governments to get a 15-year property tax exemption for a new data center in Central Oregon, according to the Associated Press.

The company agreed to pay $150,000 a year for the tax exemption, create a minimum of 35 jobs at the center, pay 150% of the county's average wage, and invest $250 million in the 160 acres of land.

The city of Prineville and Crook County will split the yearly "project fee".

Apple also indicated it would invest in a green energy project at location which is but a stone's throw from the huge facility built by Facebook.

Apple does not need anymore tax breaks. They can afford to pay the same price as everybody else. Do they give consumers a price break on merchandise?
