Google has leaked a Mac OS X client for the new Google Drive service that is expected to launch next week.
A tipster pointed TechCrunch to a link on Google's servers where the site was able to download the app and confirm its authenticity.
The version we were given is 1.0.2891 and seems to run without issue. I was able to log in using my Gmail account and I suppose I'll have to wait to play with it further. It currently throws an error stating that "Google Drive is not yet enabled for your account."
TNW managed to obtain a draft release from a partner of Google's upcoming Google Drive service that gives a lot of information Google's plan to take on Dropbox.
The short story? 5 GB of storage, and it launches next week, likely on Tuesday at http://drive.google.com
We'll let you know as soon as the service goes live!
