Apple Stops Offering iWork and Aperture Trials

Apple has stopped offering trials of its iWork and Aperture software applications as part of its shift to the Mac App Store.

MacStories noticed that when visiting the site that previously offered trial downloads, visitors are now directed to the Mac App Store.

The iWork page says, "The trial version of iWork is no longer supported. But you can easily purchase Keynote, Pages, and Numbers from the Mac App Store to start creating beautiful presentations, documents, and spreadsheets today."

Similarly, the Aperture page reads "The trial version of Aperture is no longer available. If you currently have a copy of the Aperture 3 Trial installed on your Mac, you must delete it from your Applications folder before downloading Aperture 3 from the Mac App Store."

Apple has clearly committed to its new distribution model. In fact, even betas of Mac OS X are being served out of the Mac App Store now.
