Look at how iPhone pictures taken at closer distance before commenting! iPhone 4S has great camera and is piece of art in technology world, but this is not reasonable comparing

Since the two devices convert the capture to jpg, the algorithm of conversion plays a very important role. Parameters like saturation and sharpness are automatically applied. From the pictures above I would go with the iPhone everyday. Look for noise in the shadows and you will see what I'm talking about.

I am iphoph owner, very aware about the pictures. Nokias pictures are very very good compare to iPhone. iPhone pictures are not bad but not better than Nokia.

The iPhone does not over exaggerate the colors, the Lumia just sucks. Last time I checked the sky was blue, not blue-green

Doesn't software also play a role in pictures or is it mostly hardware and how they make the camera? Because I notice apples quick capture brings sharp images

The bigger aperture gives it a better defined color I love my iPhone 4s cam best point and shoot hands down.

I'd say that iPhone 4s picture are definitely better, the one made with the lumina phone look like the one I was taking with my first iPhone!
