The JuiceTank iPhone Case features a built-in wall charger letting you leave your traditional charger and cable at home.

The JuiceTank is the first iPhone case to feature an integrated wall charger that folds flat to provide maximum portability. The automated plug deploys easily and allows you to plug your phone directly into any outlet. No cords required.

The case is seeking $125,000 in funding via Kickstarter. It's got nearly $12,000 raised thus far with 58 days to go. Early bird pledges are $40 for a case.

Take a look at the video below for more information.

The design is clever especially with the pop up socket blades. The style is bland. In reality, I can't see the use of this like others. I would agree that 99% you are charging at home/office where you don't worry about carrying anything because you leave a set at each location. I like using my phone when charging and this is only accomplished by some sort of cable design. The iPhone charges so slowing. I would guess about 1% per minute that if would be insane to watch it top off in a socket in a public venue. And you would have to watch it as the sockets are out of sight near the ground etc. Maybe I can see this with traveling but when I travel I usually bring 2 sets of cable/chargers. One might fail. I can't see streamlining by just using the case only. I read that it has a micro USB input so you can use a cable. I somehow feel you will be using it a lot as a cable system is more practical. (USB charging. In sight charging. )

Seems like a clever idea. Does it have the world voltage range? 100-200? I don't see a normal phone connection on it. Does it have one for syncing (iphone slot) and other charging types? The thing with an original iPhone plug and an extendable USB iPhone (which i use) Its not heavy or cumbersome. And it has 2 plug in options. USB and normal socket. Where do you use this? At home you Don't have to worry about any charging options. You use your dock or cable. There is no worry of carrying. At work. You USB plug into your computer. Or have a charger cable there too like home. In car, you can't charge. Unless you buy a clunky inverter. Hiking, usually I have some sort of USB charging pack. Wouldn't work. Coffee shop, you can do an emergency charge. Usually would have laptop though for USB charge. And would you leave phone in a socket? Can get stolen. Traveling, I like to have USB and plug option with normal setup. Plug into pc usb on plane. Outlet in hotel room. I don't travel alone so I have to bring iPhone charger anyway for the wife or mistress. Where is this for? I guess for an emergency charge. Maybe some restaurant or coffee shop when traveling? But the phone is out of your sight. It still would be annoying to keep having to take off when I want to USB charge(still have to carry cable) Which is quite common. I

If you want a cable, buy a 5ft long extension cord.

Did you put in an over charge protection chip so it doesn't over charge the battery like the ones that come from apple

Agreed with the guy below. A cable or cord would be a better idea you cant use your phone plugged into the wall socket. You would like kind of stupid trying to use your iphone from a wall socket.

Rubbish idea! If it had an extendable cord, fair enough. But you can't use the phone while it's plugged in cos it'd be attached to the wall, and you wouldn't be able to plug anything else in in the socket next to it cos it'd be too wide. An extendable cord would make this much better, as well as brig able to rotate the plug to landscape so you can watch a movie or something while it's plugged in.
