Samsung staged a Galaxy Note vs. iPhone 'street challenge' for its latest ad.

We gave Android users just a few hours to play with the new Samsung Galaxy Note. Then we hit the streets to see how other smartphone users stacked up against the Note's groundbreaking S-Pen in some simple challenges. This is what happened...

Take a look below...

This woman clearly don't even know what is she holding in her hand. About the greeting cards, there is an app called Cards, will do the job no problem. And the maps, I don't have to draw a path my self, I can just let Google Maps to do the job, and it's over in less than a minute. And finally, Mac, or even iOS use Keynote, and don't use PowerPoint, so if I want to make a slideshow even on my iPhone I'll go to my Keynote and get the job done. In addition to all of that, iPhone has features nothing else have. and even the common options are way better in the iPhone than other phones, like the camera for ex.

So they challenge a complete n00b in this test with a phone that doesn't have a pen.. I dare Samsung to ask someone without experience from the Note to do the same challenge without the pen or to challenge someone using another phone with a pen.. This is like challenging someone with winter boots to a 100m sprint when you have an elite runner in the newest running shoes from Nike.. So the point of this 'commercial' is that Samsung feels like winners when they challenge someone who can't compete on the same level..? Would make me feel like an idiot..

stupid ad. I used to own an Android and it is much more complicated than iOS. I switched back to iPhone at no time.

The iPhone can do all of that. How are you gonna have a professional tech guy vs some one who is obviously not tech savvy? Whatever!

I'm an apple fan, but I kinda enjoy it when apple gets owned by Samsung, because Apple is so not giving the users the capabilities of a good phone! They and their politics will make loose users! I've been with iPhone since the first generation, waiting for the iPhone 5 to see what this could have ... If it doesn't impress me I'll switch ! Cheers!

how is that even a comparison, the 4s is a phone and the note is a wannabe tablet, it would probly be more fair to compare the ipad and the note

While I realize that having a pen would be useful in some cases, in terms of practicality, it is absolutely useless. What if you lose it? Then what? Also, I think Samsung fails to realize that everything that is done on their phones can be easily done on the iPhone as well. You just need to find the right app. For instance – making powerpoints? That is what Keynote is for.

That ad is more of a promotion for technically savvy white males than for an Android device. "Yo dawg how you even be textin on this?"

Oh, and read the disclaimer at the end of the video. At the beginning of the video it says "given few hours". At the disclaimer it says "Galaxy Note users provided Galaxy Note for a day, provided minor hands-on training and pre-briefed on the exercises." LOL
