Loren Brichter Announces His Departure From Twitter

Loren Brichter, creator of Twitter's apps for iOS and Mac, has announced his departure from the company.

Today was my last day at Twitter. Taking some time to figure out what's next. Really proud of the way the team has grown.

Twitter entered into an agreement with Atebits (aka Loren Brichter) to acquire Tweetie, his leading iPhone Twitter client in April of 2010. Tweetie was renamed Twitter for iPhone and made free (previously $2.99) and Brichter helped the company launch Twitter for iPad and Twitter for Mac.
