Flic The Movie Tracker 1.0
Posted August 15, 2011 at 3:06pm by iClarified
ZAE has introduced Flic - The Movie Tracker 1.0, for all iOS devices. Ever seen a movie preview and thought, "Eh, I'll wait for DVD..." then you forget about it? Not anymore! You can track upcoming releases and current films by their release on services you use, like Netflix, Redbox & more, and be updated when they hit the proverbial shelves.
Flic is an iPhone app that helps you track the movies you want to see and alerts you when they are available on the services you use. Once you've selected the services you use to watch movies, just "Flic" any movie into your queue, and we'll alert you once your movie is available to watch on iTunes, Netflix, or your favorite service. Prefer multiple services? No problem, well alert you once your movie is available on each of your preferred services.
Movies to Flic:
* Movies not yet available on your favorite service
* Movies in theaters now
* Movies "Coming Soon" to theater near you, which you'd rather rent
* Movies you hear about that are in production
* Movies you don't want to miss
You see a preview in the theater and think, "oh, I have to see that". You don't want to pay to see it in the theater, and six months later you've already forgotten about it but its now readily available to you and you don't even know it! We'll alert you the day it's available. Currently, we are developing the app for Android and other mobile devices.
The movie viewing services that Flic tracks:
* inDemand (link to inDemand page)
* DirecTV
* Redbox
* iTunes
* Netflix
* Theaters
* DVD
Why is there no "Flic it!" button on certain movies?
Flic was created to track movies in production, coming to theaters, in theaters, and new releases on DVD and other movie viewing services. Flic makes sure you know when they are available to you. Movies that are widely available on multiple services are not able to be "Flic'd" into your queue.
Why is there a red badge on "my queue" and on the app icon?
The red badge (and number) signifies the amount of newly available movies in your queue. Once you open the movie in your queue once, the badge (and new notifier) will disappear. It's an easy way to see which movies you've already checked on and which you haven't.
How long will a movie stay in my queue?
Once you Flic a movie, it's there until you delete it. If the movie is not yet available on any of your services, it will appear in your "waiting" queue. Once it's available on any of your preferred services, it will move to your "available" queue. Movies in theaters will automatically move back to the "waiting" queue when they are no longer available in theaters. You will be notified again when they are available on one of your other preferred services.
Pricing and Availability:
Flic - The Movie Tracker 1.0 is only $0.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Entertainment category. Please contact us for a free promo code to download.
