Spot is designed for people who are passionate about dining out and discovering new places in their city, and focuses on making that experience much richer by helping people to remember, organize and recall all the places they want to try.

Food and dining enthusiasts have plenty of sources for great local recommendation: friends, blogs, magazines, Yelp, Urbanspoon, Foursquare and hundreds of other local recommendation sources both online and offline. The problem they have is remembering those places from the time they get the recommendations (Tuesday morning) to when they need them (Friday night).

Spot's solution is a simple, elegant iPhone application that lets you quickly capture places you find interesting as you hear about them from friends, local review sites, newspapers and magazines. When you want to recall your 'wishlist', sort it quickly by distance, name or date added. Share places from your list by email or SMS, get directions to the places on your wishlist, and browse places being wishlisted in real-time by other people around the world. The application is useful for city-dwellers and travelers alike, as it works anywhere in the world.
