iPhone Dev-Team Updates RedSn0w to Perform Untethered Jailbreak of iOS 4.3.2

Posted April 19, 2011 at 12:43am by iClarified
The iPhone Dev-Team has just updated RedSn0w with the ability to perform an untethered iOS 4.3.2 jailbreak.

Only a few weeks after the 4.3.1 untether created by @i0n1c was released, Apple pushed out firmware 4.3.2. Thankfully, it appears Apple didn’t have a chance to fix the hole used by @i0n1c’s untether, so he ported his code over to 4.3.2’s kernel. Today’s redsn0w has been updated to include it

As always, ultrasn0w unlockers should stay away from redsn0w and only update their firmware through a custom IPSW. We’ll release a new version of PwnageTool sometime this week.

Note that many people are currently having problems updating to 4.3.2 through saurik’s server. You’ll need to remove the gs.apple.com entry in your hosts file in order to restore directly to Apple’s servers.

You can download RedSn0w 0.9.6rc13 here:
Windows
Mac

Follow one of these tutorials:
● iPhone 3GS (Windows, Mac)
● iPod Touch 4G (Windows, Mac)
● iPod Touch 3G (Windows, Mac)
● iPad 1 (Windows, Mac)

Update: It seems as if iPhone 4 support is not working properly in this release of Redsn0w. Please wait for the Dev Team to push out the next build that supports iPhone 4.

iPhone4 users please wait for a pending fix

Looks like all "dev-team" is doing recently is implementing other people's work into their app and spreading empty unlock promises.

The link to rc13 is removed.. for now, you can use rc13b from here: https://sites.google.com/a/iphone-dev.com/files/home/redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc13b.zip?attredirects=0&d=1 Just an update in case you get a download error saying file not found. I guess Musclenerd is revamping the buggy file with a good one.. so the earlier link should be up soon.
