I'd like to see how the iPad performs by itself. These things are damn solid as it is. Also, that sort of test doesn't show much. That's crushing force, and unless you can get through the tough aluminum shell, hat won't do much, particularly with the screen down like that. What you really need to worry about is the jarring force you get when the iPad itself drops, which can cause internal components to dislodge or disconnect. Either way these things are fairly durable as it is, with the glass being the only really fragile part, and still fairly strong at that. In the video though, the only fragile part is protected by the whole rest of the iPad, including the solid aluminum shell, so it's not likely to break.

This would make sense if the screen was down. But it faced up during the test. The fragile part took the brunt of the bowling ball.

In case you didn't notice, he dropped the bowling ball on the screen and not the backside of the iPad.
