CallLock May Solve Your iPhone 4 Proximity Sensor Woes [Update]

CallLock is a new Cydia tweak that can manually or automatically lock your iPhone screen during a call. For those who accidentally press buttons with their cheek a locked screen will prevent accidental mutes, hangups, and keypad dialing. This is a common occurrence for iPhone 4 owners with a faulty proximity sensor.

MANUAL MODE:
CallLock will override the default action of the Power button during a call to lock the screen instead of the normal end call action.

AUTOMATIC MODE:
CallLock will automatically lock your screen as soon as a incoming or outgoing call is connected.

CallLock is enabled in manual mode by default. To enable CallLock automatically you must turn on the feature from inside your Settings app. No new icons will be added to your home screen.

You can purchase the tweak for $0.99 from the Cydia Store.

Version 1.0.2 has been released with the following changes:
● Improved validation script
● Delayed auto-lock slightly for older devices
● Compatibility fixes with other tweaks

Doesn't the On/Off button do this for you while you on a call. I do this all the time so that I don't accidentally hang up or hit another function. try it it works

No, the normal behavior of the on/off button is to end a call. The exception is when you are on speakerphone or when you have headphones plugged in.

I beg to differ. Try it. While in a Call, hit the on/off , this does not end the call, it locks the screen, hit it it again will shut the display off all together but the conversation still continues, it will not hang up or end the call. I use a 3GS phone, and this also works on a 3G phone, can't speak for the iPhone4

I agree with Frank, the on/off button only works with the speaker phone function activated or headphones plugged in. I guess pressing the home button might solve the inadvertent mutes, button pressing or hang ups, but you'll probably end up launching random apps.

It used to work by pushing the power button until iPhone 4. For sone reason iPhone 4 hangs up the call when you push the power button unless you have headsets plugged in or you are on speaker mode. I figured it was just an overlook and they would fix it with the updates but they never did!

Not working ( any mode) on my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.1)!
