Mac OS X "Lion" will reportedly get iOS scrolling, an all-new white Quick Look UI, and Quick Look popovers for Spotlight items, according to MacStories' sources.
The site has learned that OS X is set to get new minimal scrollbars that implement the "rubber band" elastic scrolling behavior from iOS. It "works really well and feels natural".
Quick Look is also said to feature an all-new white Quick Look UI. This should be a real redesign and be turned "on" by default.
Lastly, Apple will display a Quick Look popover for items in the Spotlight menu. The example they we're given: if you highlight a document in the Spotlight menu and it can be "Quick Look'd", a popover with detailed info about the document will appear after a second.
Apple is holding a "Back to the Mac" press event on October 20th. Also rumored for the event is a new MacBook Air and iLife 2011.
