Cramberry, an application for fun, easy, and efficient flash card memorization on the web, iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, received a major update. This new version of Cramberry adds a brand new, more intuitive and visually rich user interface and a more efficient algorithm for presenting flash cards. Lateral Communications, Inc., the makers of Cramberry, are making the update available to existing users for free today.

"We've listened to our users' feedback and rewritten almost every part of Cramberry from scratch in this update," said Ishaan Gulrajani, co-founder of Lateral Communications. "Now users can create long, detailed flash cards with images and text formatting." Users can create and study flash cards from Cramberry's website or from their iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. "On the website, users can also share sets of flash cards with friends or classmates and study tens of thousands of free sets created by other users. Users can even download sets to their iPhones or iPads," said Ishaan.

Cramberry is available as an iPhone and iPod touch application, a separate iPad application, and a web application at cramberry.net. The new update to all three applications is free for existing users. The iPhone and iPad apps are available for download for $4.99 and $6.99 (USD), respectively. A free basic account is available on the Cramberry website which offers access to the same flash card management features, but is limited to studying 30 cards per day. Users can upgrade to Cramberry Pro for one year for $9.00.

Dissatisfied with App
Dissatisfied with App - August 17, 2010 at 11:23am
Avoid this app for the iPad. It doesn't work as promised. (It doesn't work at all right now, but the developer says this is a bug that is currently being fixed. Check the app store comments for version 2.) In version 2, the developer removed essential functionality that was paid for in version 1. Just as you get your workflow going, you may have to switch apps. I recommend looking at other flashcard apps in the app store to avoid such disruptions.
