Redsn0w 4.0 Jailbreak Now Available for Windows

The iPhone Dev-Team has released a version of Redsn0w for Windows that can jailbreak the iPod touch 2g and iPhone 3G on iOS 4 using Windows.

MuscleNerd: redsn0w 4.0 JB now available for Windows http://is.gd/cSXNN ... ipt2g and iPhone3G (but no hactivation til public 4.0).

The redsn0w beta has been updated for 4.0GM on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (non-MC version). Multitasking and homescreen wallpaper are turned on by default (Apple doesn't normally allow this on these 2 devices). You can deselect these features if you choose.

A version for Windows is now provided.

Just like our other betas, this one intentionally doesn't “hactivate” the iPhone. Please wait for Apple's public release of 4.0 for that part of it.

YOU SHOULD STAY CLEAR OF THIS BETA SOFTWARE IF YOU RELY ON A CARRIER UNLOCK. That's because the beta redsn0w works only if your device has already been upgraded to the stock 4.0beta1/beta4/GM IPSW from Apple, which contains a baseband update. If you installed that IPSW, you've already lost the carrier unlock until the next planned release of ultrasn0w and blacksn0w.

iOS 4 JB only for iPhone 3G/·GS but no unlock, we are focused on iPhone 4 unlocking

Also a Mac version will be released? I am interested in Jailbreak and Unlock my iPhone 3Gs 3.1.3 (already jailbroken and Unlocked) with the next iOS4 and my actual Baseband (Firmware modem) 04.26.08. Then, when I will switch to the new iPhone 4...... It will be possible? Just asking! I know that I have to wait until next monday, but...

Just install the updates in Cydia and you'll get the normal colors back.

Hey man, what's going on with baseband 5.12 unlock? In my case as many others we never accidentally updated our 3GS. It happened thanks to hardware failure and apple replacing device for a new locked one. So we have this issue for months and now you're sayin you're only dedicate to the new hardware i4... You must be kidding!!! So all other 3GS users like me that need the unlock for 5.12 will have to sell their devices? I know you don't work for us, you do this for fun but there's still gotta be a work ethic....thanks

MuscleNerd @EmmanueGT yep..so don't sell or give away your 3GS :) (at same time, remember not to accept Apple FW upgrades in future) 21 days ago in reply to EmmanueGT MuscleNerd People still ask, but sure, with both 4.0 & iPhoneHD coming out this month, so too will the 3.1.3/4.0 carrier unlocks :) 11 days ago Then???. What was this all about?

well i think if they are going to release an unlock for the 4.0 baseband, theres no point realeasing it for the older one, either way i guess everyone wants to upgrade to IOS4.

oh. i tought the 3gs and iphone 4 were gonna have the same baseband on ios 4.
