iBye is a new app by EvilPenguin| which lets you make a backup of your iPhone data without iTunes.

Have you ever wanted to make a backup of your data, but iTunes wasn't around? Then iBye is the application for all your data needs. iBye will backup your data and store that data on a FTP server of your choosing. iBye will restore this data from the backup on that FTP server as well.

If you don't have an FTP server, iBye can do a local backup and restore. Other features include the ability to remove all the data from a desired application or lock the data to prevent deletion.

iBye supports Notes, Mail, Calendar, Photos, Address Book, Safari, and the syslog. iBye's FTP connection supports EDGE, 3G, and WiFi.

You can download and install the application from the ModMyi Cydia Repository.

Also, does anyone know of a good easy way to backup your cydia sources and repos so when you re-jailbreak you don't have to manually add them all...that would be great>>>

So does it backup apps? Sounds like it just does the basics which can e done even easier by copying the respectful folders in the user/library directory. Example: SMS folder holds all your SMS convos. Copy it to computer then copy it back to restore it. Simple. Addressbook, safari, cache, notes, calendar etc. All there. And appbackup can be used for app data. If they update it do app data and handle cydia apps to then it will be useful.
