Now You Can Purchase iTunes Gift Cards via Facebook

Apple has offered the ability to purchase iTunes Gift Cards via their Facebook Fan page.

The Facebook application is designed by GroupCard and powered by Blackhawk Network and is only available US customers at this time.

When purchasing a gift card you can select from six different designs (2 holiday, 2 birthday, 2 any occasion). You then select a value from $5 to $50 and choose which Facebook friend to send it to. Once you have personalized the message you can send the gift immediately or specify a date on which it should be sent.
