I bought an iPhone 4 and found out it is on 4.12.02, I think for a Gevy Sim, and iOS 6.0. I can't set up the phone for anything right now and iTunes says to install a valid sim card. I want to restore it to stock firmware and BB so I can factory unlock it. How can I do that? I’ve tried downgrading to 5.1.1. I’ve tried creating firmware with sn0breeze and using redsn0w to downgrade…but nothing is working. Any ideas out there??

According to Apple N Berry, the GEVY Ultra SIM will can't unlock baseband 4.12.02:

Why not just pay for the $30 IMEI unlock from them, (assuming it's a GSM model)?

Hope that helps.
