Apple has opened pre-orders for the updated Apple Vision Pro with M5 chip in South Korea and Taiwan today, with official availability set to begin next week. Customers in both regions can now reserve the headset online or schedule a demo at local Apple Store locations ahead of the November 28 launch.
The headline feature is the move to Apple's next-generation M5 silicon. Built on 3-nanometer technology, the chip packs a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU that supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing. That extra power drives a 10 percent bump in pixel density for sharper visuals and enables a 120Hz refresh rate to help reduce motion blur. It works alongside the R1 chip to handle the heavy lifting of processing input from the headset's 12 cameras, five sensors, and six microphones.
Battery performance has been improved, with the new model delivering up to 2.5 hours of general use or 3 hours of video playback per charge. Apple is also including a new Dual Knit Band, which uses a double-ribbed structure to provide better cushioning and airflow. Out of the box, the device runs visionOS 26, unlocking features like persistent widgets, updated Personas, and generative AI tools that can add spatial depth to standard 2D photos. Users will have access to Apple's growing library of immersive content, including upcoming titles from Red Bull and HYBE.
In South Korea, pricing for the M5 Vision Pro starts at 4,990,000 KRW for the 256GB model. In Taiwan, the headset starts at NT$119,900. Both regions offer 512GB and 1TB storage options. The box includes the new Dual Knit Band, a Light Seal, battery, and the 40W Dynamic Power Adapter.
The headset will be available for pickup and purchase in stores starting Friday, November 28.
