Another leak is adding some details to the picture of Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 lineup. A post on Weibo from leaker Digital Chat Station outlines several changes coming to the new models, from the design and camera to the display and even the user interface.
According to the post, the Pro models will get a "large horizontal matrix" design, a description that sounds a lot like the wide camera bar we've seen in some recent renders. The standard iPhone 17, however, is said to be getting only minor design tweaks.
The camera system on the Pro models is also said to be getting a 5x high-pixel periscope lens. That lines up with an earlier forecast that suggested the Pro models would feature a 48MP periscope telephoto.
All four models will reportedly use Low-Injection Pressure Over-molding (LIPO) display technology. This should allow for ultra-thin, flat bezels on all four sides of the screen, a feature Apple has reportedly been working toward for a future bezel-free iPhone.
Rounding out the leak, Digital Chat Station claims the system will feature a "brand new Dynamic Island UI." While it's not clear what this entails, it follows earlier reports that the iPhone 17 Pro Max could feature a smaller Dynamic Island thanks to new Face ID technology.
