Apple Alters Windows Software Updater

Apple has modified the Windows Software Updater to differentiate between new applications and program updates.
Mozilla chief executive John Lilly had vocally accused Apple of using the iTunes updater to push Safari on Windows users, something he described as bordering on "malware distribution practices".
In the latest version of the software updater, software updates and new application are separated, though the "install Safari" box, remains checked.
Mozilla calls the changes "important but not sufficient".
