Apple has announced that iOS 18 adoption has reached 68% and iPadOS 18 adoption has reached 53%. This is the first update the company has provided on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 adoption since release.
As of January 21, 2025, 68% of iPhone users are on iOS 18, 19% are on iOS 17, and 13% are using an earlier version. That number jumps to 76% for devices introduced in the last four years.
For iPad, 53% of users are on iPadOS 18, 28% are on iPadOS 17, and 19% are on an earlier version. That jumps to 63% for devices introduced in the last four years.
Apple released iOS 18.2.1 and iPadOS 18.2.1 last month. Developers have been seeded with release candidates of iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 to test ahead of release, likely next week.
