Apple is planning to release new M4 MacBook Air models in early 2025, followed by updates to the iPad and iPad Air, as well as a new iPhone SE, according to Mark Gurman.
In a post on X today, Gurman reiterated his previous prediction that the M4 MacBook Air would launch before Apple's new iPads.
As I wrote in October, new entry level iPads (J481 and J482) are coming in the spring. iPhone SE, new iPad Air are on the same general timeline. The M4 MacBook Air will be earlier.
The new M4 MacBook Air is expected to look much like the existing M3 model, but will feature the M4 chip already found in the new MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac. The M4 significantly outperforms the Apple's previous M3 chip. Check out some benchmarks here.
It's likely that Apple will announce the new MacBook Air via press release and save the iPhone and iPad launches for a special event in March.
